Enhancing Welfare through Community Empowerment

Smallholder Partnership Program – developed to reach and engage smallholder farmer groups with the goal of establishing long-term direct relationships with the company. To date, more than 20,000 farmers have partnered with Kirana Megatara Group across North Sumatra, South Sumatra, Jambi, West Kalimantan, Bangka Belitung Islands, and Lampung. Through this program, the adoption of best agricultural practices combined with sustainability initiatives continues to be promoted. The program includes various activities aimed at improving rubber productivity, enhancing the livelihoods of smallholder farmers, and creating a more efficient supply chain.

Field staff play a crucial role as direct links to the farmers and as active implementers of every initiative carried out. In 2023, partner farmers in South Sumatra successfully achieved FSC-FM certification for a total land area of nearly 1,000 hectares. The importance of safeguarding and improving farmers’ welfare forms the foundation for supporting the sustainable production of natural rubber. By integrating best agricultural practices with a sustainable approach, productivity can be increased while delivering tangible benefits to partner farmers.
